With more than 20 years of experience, Dyson delivers the BigBall vacuum cleaner. No loss of suction, self-righting design and hygienic engineering ensures an easier clean.
No maintenance, no loss of suction.
No Loss of Suction Ever
Powered by Dyson Cinetic technology, the BigBall vacuum cleaner prevents microscopic dust from building up and blocking the airflow. With superior dust separation, the Dyson vacuum doesn't need a pre-motor filter so there's no loss of suction ever.
Using the BigBall design, the Dyson vacuum can self-right if it topples over, taking the hassle out of cleaning. The vacuum rolls smoothly around furniture and is less likely to catch on furniture or other obstacles. Dynson BigBall ensures fewer delays for faster vacuuming.
The Dyson BigBall uses a 2-tier radial cyclone to pick up all dirt and features a bin emptying mechanism so you can hygienically eject debris out with just the push of a button. Hold the compartment over a bin and the mess goes straight from the vacuum into the garbage: no mess, no bags, no maintenance.
Asthma and Allergy Safe
Other vacuums leak air or expel some dust back into your room, but the Dyson Allergy vacuum cleaner is designed to suck it up and keep it locked away. Approved by the National Asthma Council and the British Allergy Foundation, the Big Ball Allergy will reduce your coughs and sneezes.

dyson cinetic big ball allergy barrel vacuum cleaner is rated out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mans from Not as good as I expected Don't get me wrong, suction is great. My last vacuum was an electrolux with a motorised head and I would've replaced it with the same in a heartbeat but the machine on par was bagged. The dyson seems flimsy the on and off button is very small and can't be used with your foot. So always bending over to turn on and off. Handle seems flimsy too. Do like the turbine head but don't like the hard floor tool. Compared to having controls on the handle of the electrolux. Don't know why everyone raves about Dysons.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Crankyhousewife from Very disappointed I purchased this machine after owning a Dyson for the past 10 years. This machine was recommended as the best for my family as 2 children suffer eczema. The unit has good suction however the head blocks every single use. It cannot suck up a piece of Nutrigain without blocking the head. Dried pasta, forget it! It just pushed it around the floor. My main irritation comes with emptying the cylinder. The seal at the bottom is hoplesess and when removing the barrel the base disengages and the contents spill all over the machine and floor creating a huge mess! I'm extremely disappointed in this Dyson.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lans_of from Lots of power I bought this a few weeks ago and it has a lot of power - has sucked all kinds of dirt out of the carpet that I didn't realise was there. The motorised head is excellent, the power cord is super-long and the unit really doesn't tip over! I am concerned however that the buttons are small and seem fragile; likewise, the clasp on the barrel needs a good push when closing and doesn't seem particularly robust. Overall, a good machine so far and does exactly what I need it to in a short space of time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pete88 from Excellent I have 5 rooms to clean with pile between 12mil & 15mil and with the Dyson D29 which we had at the time we were informed that it was the correct machine, however, it felt like a 4 hour work out to try and do the job properly. Advised to get a power head machine which I tried from various manufacturers but they had to be set at the highest level consequently not doing the job properly. Contacted Dyson and was advised to try the Allergy Ball with the head, attended Harvey Norman with a section of my carpet which I had used at other suppliers and with this machine it completely cleaned out all the previous rubbish which had been put on the carpet to test the various machines This machine is great and cleans the carpet properly with minimum effort.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Dyson big ball allergy totally disappointed with this new model, I think that the old model is much easier to handle; you cannot turn as the head slide forward; and the handle really makes you tired; I just wonder if the designers were really an end user, while deciding to forgone the previous long handle. I just wondered that anyone can keep vacuuming for more than 15 minutes. I prefer the older models.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kaz62 from very dissapointed I have owned a Dyson vacuum for years and recently when a few things on my old one became worn and broken I decided to update to the latest model. What a dissapointment. The overall design is not user friendly at all. The new tiny on/off and cord buttons are very hard to use. The emptying system is ridiculous. I challenge anyone to empty the barrell without spreading dust everywhere. Now I take mine outside rain hail or shine to empty onto the garden as i have tried countless times to empty into a bag or bin but i always end up having to vaccum up the mess again. I am concerned that the catch that holds the barrell shut will snap as it is just a small bit of plastic. The tools cannot by used to go from one surface to another and I have to change heads to go from carpet to tile. I used to be able to rinse the old barrell out also with water. The floor tool i bought separately blocks up and because the holes are at the side and not in the middle does not pick up the mess as well as the previous floor tool i had. Previously I have recommended dyson to so many people, but now I would discourage anyone from updating. I miss my old one and am thinking about getting it fixed and ditching this new model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KatieB from Mostly love it I recently had to replace my 7 year old DC23 as the hose literally came apart, so my comparison is to this old one. Overall, I am happy with the new machine and considering that I vacuum most days, I do use it often. LOVES: Easier to maneuver than the old machine as you don't feel like you are dragging this heavy awkward machine behind you that seemed to playing tug of war with you. I love how easy it is to now empty the bin, the DC23 was really awkward to empty bits caught in the top part of the barrel and even with my small hands, it was tricky and you had to pull it apart after every vacuum to clean it. My old machine had sharp components around the barrel and head which would sometimes catch on to things (and sometimes pull threads on) like curtains, this one is significantly better. DISLIKES: Whilst the vacuum head sucks up MOST things, it annoyingly will not pick up small hard things like kitty litter crystals no matter what I do apart from removing the head. I also find the vacuum head REALLY loud. I only have floorboards in my house, so another head instead of this one is definitely preferred and a shame that it wasn't included. There is now where now to store your accessories which is really disappointing as you now can't conveniently access them. Overall a great vacuum cleaner, just a few things that could be improved and I am a disappointed that I will now have to spend a little more to get a better vacuum head for the floorboards (even though the existing one is supposed to work on every surface).
