wd my cloud 4tb network hard drive is rated out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Muphin from Brilliant Media Server As a Network Attached Storage (NAS) that backs up and stores your computers data it leaves a lot to be desired. As a media storage and streaming device for video and audio it is BRILLIANT. The NAS has a built in DNLA server ready to stream video to the TV and other DNLA clients that are connected such as a WD TV, either by Ethernet (wired) or Wi-Fi. I bought the WD My Cloud 4TB Network Hard Drive one specific purpose, to store and stream video to my LG "Smart" TV and to stream audio to my Yamaha audio system. For video streaming wired is highly recommended. The WD NAS's are cheap, considering a 4TB WD red series hard disk at your computer shop will set you back around $350.
